STUDENT of the MONTH

Brunswick senior Caitlyn Compton has been selected as the Medina County Kiwanis February Student of the Month, an honor awarded by a panel of teachers at the Medina County Career Center.

Caitlyn is a senior in the Media Production program, where she has demonstrated outstanding leadership, creativity, and academic achievement. At MCCC, she has served as class historian, student ambassador, Key Club member, and sophomore visitation representative. This past summer, she also completed an internship as a media intern at F.I.T. Inc. Teachers describe Caitlyn as a positive role model and an exceptional student who is always willing to assist her peers. Her classmates describe her as kind, smart, creative, and “an amazing person to surround yourself with.”

Academically, Caitlyn consistently challenges herself through a rigorous course load that includes CCP U.S. History, CCP Government, CCP Composition I and II, AP Physics, and AP Calculus and Digital Electronics. Through her dedication and strong performance, she has earned Summa Cum Laude honor roll recognition and membership in the National Honor Society.

Beyond the classroom, Caitlyn is deeply committed to serving her Brunswick school community. She volunteers with Huddle, Link, and VOFT and frequently assists with setting up for school events, demonstrating her reliability and willingness to help wherever she is needed.

Caitlyn is the daughter of Erica Resar and Tony Compton. After graduation, she plans to attend college to major in business with a minor in media production. She also plans to seek employment in the photography and film industry throughout college.
