STUDENT of the MONTH

Medina senior Hayden Fortlage has been selected as the Medina County Kiwanis November Student of the Month; an honor awarded by a panel of teachers from the Medina County Career Center.

Hayden is a senior in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, where he has served as class president for the past two years. He is also the Vice President of the Career Technical Student Leadership Council and a participant in Medina County Junior Leadership. His teachers and peers describe him as kind, helpful, and dedicated. They note that he continually works to better himself while supporting those around him. Academically, Hayden excels in AP U.S. History, AP Statistics and consistently earns summa cum laude or magna cum laude honor roll distinction.  Outside the classroom, he maintains part-time employment and participates in recreational baseball. Hayden is the son of Spring and Keith Fortlage. After graduation, he plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in a sports medicine–related field and eventually attend graduate school to earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
