MAERB Accreditation
The Adult Education Department hosted Team Coordinator Janel Ouimette, BS, CMA (AAMA) and Team Member Karmon Kingsley, MSAH, CMA (AAMA) November 3-5, 2022, for our Medical Assisting program review. We are pleased to report that our program is being recommended for continued accreditation by MAERB and CAAHEP.
Their report cited the following strengths:
Administration and Support Services are tremendous assets to students’ success. Administration is supportive in assuring state-of-the art equipment that was evident by the up-to-date labs and plentiful supplies.
There is a strong working relationship between the Practicum Coordinator and the Program Director, which was evident when speaking to graduates, current students, Advisory Council, faculty, and administration. All spoke highly regarding the Practicum Coordinator’s abilities which includes being the historian of the Medical Assisting program. The Practicum Coordinator’s dedication ensures students’ success and positive placements of graduates.

Firefighter I Class Training Concludes with 90% Passage Rate!
Congratulations to our Firefighter I class on their 90% passage rate! This class provided valuable training for these men and women for departments in Medina and Summit counties. Thank you to Tim Brunenmeister for putting together this class opportunity and Chief Jestin Grossenbaugh for allowing us to use his fire station for classes. If you can see yourself working in a role that keeps others out of harm’s way, a first-responders career may be for you. Custom Training
Thank you to Sandy Frommeyer for her work with local businesses to help them obtain the training they desire for their workforce! Many businesses are starting to up-skill their workforce as the hiring shortage is sometimes bringing in employees who need to cross train.
