Courtney Ott, LISW-S, recently joined Medina County Career Center as the Adult Education Academic Counselor.

Some of Ott’s responsibilities include supporting students to help them achieve academically, assisting students with job placements, and analyzing student and employer data to ensure MCCC is meeting the needs of students and employers. “I really enjoy meeting with and helping students one-on-one,” said Ott.

Ott graduated from Brunswick High School and completed the Animal Management and Care program at MCCC in 1998. She then earned a Bachelor of Fine and Applied Arts in Child and Family Development and a master’s degree in social work from The University of Akron. “I loved my experience at MCCC” said Ott. “Being able to work here is a wonderful way to positively impact students.”

When Ott is not busy working at MCCC, she runs her own private health practice and teaches parenting classes at the Recovery Center of Medina County.
