The Medina County Career Center was honored recently to dedicate our new Construction Trades lab in honor of Don Simmons for his years.  MCCC’s Construction Trades program was officially named to the Don Simmons Construction Trades program in dedication to the advocacy and memory of Don Simmons, Simmons Brothers Construction.

“Don Simmons was a local construction industry leader and career technical advocate,” said Steven Chrisman, superintendent. “He was always available and willing to help our school, career-tech programs, students and staff. It only seemed fitting to name our newly renovated Construction Trades lab in honor of him.”

In addition to Don Simmons’ dedication ceremony, students received construction supplies generously donated by Lowe’s Home Improvement, Wadsworth.
