In this course, we will study religions of the world and think critically about the nature of religious beliefs and practices shared around the globe. Ultimately this course should provide each and every one of you with the tools to explain the common characteristics, themes and varieties of religious experience, as well as the ability to describe individual communities, beliefs and practices held by the major religious traditions of the world. By thinking critically and cooperatively, you should also be able to note the diversity among religions as well.
