Nearly 300 professionals and community members attended the 2019 Annual Advisory Council Meeting held at Medina County Career Center (MCCC) on Tuesday, Oct. 8. An advisory council is a group of highly-qualified individuals who provide industry-appropriate recommendations for continuous improvement of career-technical programs.
“We are grateful to have so many active members on our advisory council,” said Tresa Goodwin, principal. “Their knowledge and expertise assists in providing authentic learning experiences and high quality career technical and adult education programs to our students. We appreciate their input very much.” Guests were provided with heavy appetizers and desserts prepared by students in MCCC’s Chef and Restaurant program. Superintendent Steven Chrisman presented the State of the School, which shared some of the district’s most recent accomplishments and future goals.
Each year, an active member is recognized as the Advisory Council Member of the Year. The Award of Excellence is presented to a member who works diligently to enhance MCCC’s position as a leader in education and community impact.
