Firefighter

1) Successful completion of the WorkKeys preassessment or waiver approved by the Director of Adult Education;
2) Must be at least 18 years old;
3) Have a valid Ohio Driver’s License;
4) Clean criminal record;
5) Completion of NIMS 100 & 700;
6) Valid physical examination (physicals are valid for one year from the date they were performed);
7) High School diploma or equivalent;
8) Eight hours of basic EMS training to include CPR, Trauma, Stroke, and PPE.

Students are required to furnish their turnout gear and SCBA.

8.  Successful completion of the Workkeys assessment or a college transcript.
9.  Current and valid Firefighter I certificate.
10. Current EVOC certificate completed no more than 12 months prior to the start of class. If a current EVOC certificate is unavailable, the student must attend the 16-hour EVOC course held at MCCC.
