These SMS/Text Message Terms of Service (“SMS Terms”) govern the use of text messaging services provided by the Medina County Career Center (MCCC) (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By opting in to receive SMS/text messages from MCCC, you agree to these SMS Terms.
Program Description
Individuals who voluntarily opt in to SMS/text messages to the Medina County Career Center, for example, we may use that number to send you text messages related to admissions, enrollment, program updates, event reminders, and other informational or communications about MCCC.
Messages may include, but are not limited to:
- Giveaway or contest notifications
- Event-related information and reminders
- Admissions, event notices, reminders, and student updates.
- Operational or transactional messages related to your interaction with MCCC
We do not send SMS messages for unrelated third-party marketing purposes.
Opt-In Consent
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in through a form, event registration, or other affirmative action, you expressly consent to receive SMS/text messages from the Medina County Career Center. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase.
Message Frequency
Message frequency may vary depending on your interaction with MCCC, but will generally be limited to messages relevant to the purpose for which you opted in.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider. MCCC is not responsible for any messaging or data charges incurred.
Opt-Out Instructions
Recipients may opt out of non-emergency text messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any text message received from MCCC;
- Contacting the appropriate MCCC department responsible for the communication.
After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from MCCC unless you re-enroll.
Carrier Disclaimer
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. We do not sell or share SMS opt-in information with third parties for marketing purposes. Any information collected through SMS is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Eligibility
By opting in to receive SMS messages, you represent that you are the authorized user of the mobile phone number provided and that you are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Any changes will be effective when posted on this page. Your continued participation in our SMS program constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
