The career counselor is responsible for assisting students and graduates seeking employment.  Following computer and resume writing instructions, students complete and submit a resume outlining their experience and education.  Students receive instruction on interviewing skills and job-seeking strategies, including mock interviews, professional dress, and completing job applications to complement their training in their desired field of study.

Along with the administrative and support staff team, the career counselor works closely with the instructors on job placement.  The instructors are often a point of contact for referring students to appropriate employment after program completion, and the career counselor collects and disseminates the information to students.

Employers: Post a Job Opening

Known employment opportunities are emailed directly to students and program completers. These opportunities are also maintained in a notebook accessible to students in the Adult Education Office.  Students are encouraged to post their resumes and search for jobs on the Ohio Means Jobs website.
