The MCCC Road Show!<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Over four weeks, school presentations were made to over 1,800 sophomore students throughout Medina County<\/strong> school districts: Black River, Brunswick, Buckeye, Cloverleaf, Highland, and Medina. Coordinator of Enrollment Services and Associate School Liaison Christopher Kalina and Real-World Learning Coordinator Danielle McMaster, and Enrollment Services Administrative Assistant Carol Hawley along with MCCC student ambassadors<\/strong> provided creative and positive educational opportunities to 10th grade students in Medina County.<\/p>\n

Project Lead the Way Collaboration<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Medina County Career Center hosted Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Collaboration Day<\/strong> on November 10, 2022. Middle School & High School PLTW teachers from Brunswick, Buckeye, Highland, Medina, and Saint Ambrose collaborated about MCCC- sponsored PLTW classes and curriculum and discussed student activities and events. The county PLTW team was joined by Miranda Szink, the PLTW Director of School Success for Ohio. Attendees enjoyed a meal prepared by the Chef & Restaurant Management<\/a><\/span><\/strong> students.<\/p>\n

Medina County Career Center proudly offers Project Lead the Way (PLTW) programming to associate schools through Medina County to provide a transformative learning experience for students and teachers in the Brunswick, Buckeye, Medina, and Saint Ambrose school districts. Community & Satellite Programs<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Toys for Tots<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Construction Trades<\/a><\/span> <\/strong>and Teaching Professions<\/span><\/a> <\/strong>students are sponsoring a collection for new and unwrapped toys this holiday season! This event runs November 13 \u2013 December 2, 2022.<\/strong> Toys can be dropped off in bins located near the MCCC High School office.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Food Drive<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Vision Care<\/a><\/span><\/strong> students organized a school-wide food drive for the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank.<\/strong> All career-technical education majors were challenged with a donut party for the most collected items. The final count was over 1,600 food items!<\/strong> Congratulations Criminal Justice<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>students for winning the challenge!<\/p>\n

Wreaths Across America<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Each year, instructor Darin Lewis<\/strong> leads his Automotive Technology<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>students in remembering and honoring our veterans through Wreaths Across America.<\/strong><\/p>\n
