{"id":18776,"date":"2020-10-28T16:00:48","date_gmt":"2020-10-28T21:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mcjvs.edu\/?p=18776"},"modified":"2020-10-28T15:26:50","modified_gmt":"2020-10-28T20:26:50","slug":"mock-election-at-mccc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mcjvs.edu\/?p=18776","title":{"rendered":"Mock Election at MCCC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Every four years, the Medina County Career Center community celebrates the right and duty to participate in the presidential election by coordinating a mock election for President.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Oct. 27, MCCC election specialists visited classrooms to provide students with an official MCCC 2020 Presidential ballot. Students voted and delivered their ballots to official drop-off locations on the MCCC campus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrained social studies experts have worked to make the MCCC voting process as life-like as possible,\u201d said Dan Ciofani, social studies instructor. \u201cWe believe this is a great way for students to learn and understand the election process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Each junior and senior career technical program is designated to represent a different state of the union. This designation is based on the population of each program.
