{"id":16247,"date":"2020-01-10T13:53:58","date_gmt":"2020-01-10T18:53:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mcjvs.edu\/?p=16247"},"modified":"2020-01-10T16:40:42","modified_gmt":"2020-01-10T21:40:42","slug":"students-featured-at-nari-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mcjvs.edu\/?p=16247","title":{"rendered":"Students Featured at NARI Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/mcjvs.edu\/?page_id=1524\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MCCC Construction Trades<\/a><\/strong><\/span> students were featured on Fox 8 News Cleveland, <a href=\"https:\/\/fox8.com\/category\/morning-show\/kickin-it-with-kenny\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KICKINit with Kenny<\/a>!\u00a0 Students are displaying their custom-made mailboxes at the NARI Home Improvement Show (Jan 9 \u2013 Jan 12), which will be raffled off to benefit the Animal Protective League.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fpc6w3ZzbZA\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Instructor Todd Mason has been involved with the NARI Home Improvement Show for over 10 years stated students \u201calways come up with new, bright and cool ideas for a good cause\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/medina-gazette.com\/news\/186650\/young-builders-showcase-skills-at-nari\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Benson, 2020<\/a>). \u00a0This year\u2019s theme is animal or house-themed mailboxes.\u00a0 Aurora Yager, senior student, said building mailboxes taught her how to use her construction finishing skills. \u00a0Senior Ezra Henderson added, \u201cBuilding these mailboxes was a great way to practice our carpentry skills. It allowed us to be creative and explore our abilities at the same time.
