This year, multiple students received national awards!<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Angela Dobson<\/strong>, <strong>Landon Morris,<\/strong> and <strong>Cheyenne Nichols<\/strong> from <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/mcjvs.edu\/?page_id=1519\">Chef and Restaurant Management<\/a><\/span> were named the second best team in the country by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fcclainc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA<\/span>)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>FCCLA is a nonprofit national career and technical student organization for students in family and consumer sciences education in public and private school through grade 12. The Chef and Restaurant Management career-technical major is instructed by Tony Stanislo.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Five students were awarded at <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/hosa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HOSA\u2019s Annual International Conference<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Alyssa Eppolito<\/strong>, <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/mcjvs.edu\/?page_id=1532\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Diversified Medical Technologies<\/a><\/span> &#8211; 2nd place in Personal Care<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mariah Garrett<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/mcjvs.edu\/?page_id=1545\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Vision Care<\/span><\/a> &#8211; HOSA Happenings<\/li>\n<li><strong>Irina Nagirnyak<\/strong>, <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/mcjvs.edu\/?page_id=1545\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vision Care<\/a><\/span> &#8211; HOSA Outstanding Chapter<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jenna Saleker<\/strong>,<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> <a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/mcjvs.edu\/?page_id=1532\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Diversified Medical Technologies<\/a> <\/span> &#8211; Top 10 Personal Care<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bethany Stefan<\/strong>, <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/mcjvs.edu\/?page_id=1532\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Diversified Medical Technologies<\/a><\/span> &#8211; Top 10 Medical Reading<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><a href=\"http:\/\/hosa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HOSA<\/a> is an international student organization that promotes career opportunities in the health care industry to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. The Diversified Medical Technologies (DMT) career-technical major is instructed by Karen Hritz and Mary Ann McMahon. Amanda Peshek is the instructor for the Vision Care career-technical major.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/mcjvs.edu\/?page_id=1547\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Power Equipment Technology<\/a> <\/span>student, <strong>James Lanza<\/strong>, won a national gold medal and a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.harley-davidson.com\/us\/en\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Harley Davison<\/a><\/span> motorcycle at this year\u2019s <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.skillsusa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SkillsUSA National Competition<\/a><\/span>. This is the third Harley Davidson awarded to the Power Equipment Technology career-technical major.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce.
