Report Absence

  • A parent or guardian must call MCCC at one of the following telephone numbers below to report their student\u2019s absence. \u00a0Students, regardless of age, are not permitted to call themselves off absent from school.\u00a0 All student absences must be reported within 24 hours of the student\u2019s day of absence in order to be excused*. \u00a0Otherwise, the absence will be considered unexcused.<\/li>\n
  • *Our 24-hour timeline is from 8:05 a.m. on the day your student is absent to 8:05 a.m. of the following morning.\u00a0 The attendance lines are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for your reporting convenience.<\/li>\n
  • Please Note:\u00a0<\/strong> When a student is absent due to a medical\/legal appointment, it is required that the student return to school with a formal document verifying this visit\/appointment on the first day of their return.\u00a0 The student is to bring this document to the Information Desk for proper processing.<\/li>\n

        Early Release

        • A parent or guardian must send a note with the student or call MCCC.<\/li>\n
        • All early release requests are processed through the MCCC Welcome Center.<\/li>\n
        • To request an early release for your student by phone, please call 330.725.8461 and ask for extension 550<\/span>. <\/strong><\/li>\n
        • After the recording, please leave the required information, and a pass will be processed and delivered to your student. Please do not use this extension to report an absence for your student.\u00a0 Please see the Report Absence information.<\/li>\n
        • If a parent or guardian sends their student to school with a written note requesting an early release, a phone call will be made to the parent or guardian for verification<\/li>\n
