High School: Intervention Specialist

Reports To: Principal or Director of Student Services

Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid Ohio teaching license – Intervention Specialist.
  • Possess or ability to possess Transition-To-Work (TTW) endorsement.
  • Solid foundational knowledge with special education law and requirements.
  • Proficient in writing and implementation of IEP’s.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations.
  • Ability to multi-task/handle multiple complex situations at once.
  • Independent self-starter.
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines at once.
  • Assist teachers to ensure appropriate service delivery and accommodations.
  • Provide instructional coaching to help teachers meet diverse needs in career technical and academic settings.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a career-technical center;
  • Strong technology skills;
  • Experience writing and implementing IEP’s and 504’s;
  • High school experience
Work Week/Year: 184 Days
Salary: Appropriate placement on the Teachers Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and education.
